With the 2007-08 Western Hockey League season only days away we're proud to announce that we will have two contests for the coming season. Like last year we'll have two contests that will give GiantsBeat members chances to show they know their stuff while cheering on the Giants, all in pursuit of some even better prizes.

The first contest is the Predict The Score contest. Each Giants game will have its own thread in the Contests section where you will be able to predict the score. You'll need to pick the winning team and score for the Giants as well as their opponent. The scoring will work a little bit differently this year and it's designed to ensure that everybody has a shot at winning while rewarding those who are active members throughout the season.

Here's the scoring system:

Correctly Predict the Winning Team: 3 Points
Correctly Predict the Giants Score: 3 Points
Correctly Predict the Opponents Score: 3 Points

If you get all three right for any game you earn a single bonus point for a total of 10 points.
