The latest fan-friendly feature here at GiantsBeat.com is the Fans Choice Giant of the Week. Each week we'll nominate four players who have had outstanding performances and give you the opportunity to vote on who is the Giant of the Week. We'll tally the votes throughout the year and present the player with the most GOW victories with a trophy.

Here are Week 1's nominees:

Lance Bouma - The captain had two goals and two assists and played the all-hell-broke-loose physical style of play that has made him so popular.

Craig Cunningham - With two goals and three assists the 19 year old lead the team in scoring for the opening week. His first goal of the season came in his typical clutch manner - an overtime penalty shot goal against Kelowna.

Kevin Connauton - The defenceman had a powerplay goal and three assists in his first three games as a Giant. Proving to be a key cog in the Giants system all of his points came in Giant victories.

JT Barnett - Tripling his goal output of last season in only three games Barnett has started the season off with a lot more confidence. He also got into his first WHL scrap on Saturday against Everett after throwing an open ice hit.

To vote, go to the Vancouver Giants forum and enter your vote in the thread for this week's nominees.
